I got an excited call

From my sweet cousin Christine, she is more like my sister than cousin.
She called me two mornings ago , almost out of breath to tell me about something growing up the fence in her garden area.
I know her pretty well , and I said to her ......... Is it like a vine and does it have red berries in a yellow almost paper-like shell.

Yes, she said .......How did you know .

I know that Christine loves pretty things and loves country decor.
And while she has a love for it , she does not like to craft.

She told me excitedly she has this "stuff" growing everywhere.
I thought "treasure" , she thought........Ella, could you make me a
wreath for my front door.

I sure can Cuz, I told her. Just don't cut it until your ready for me
to make your wreath because it dries very quickly. So we are going
to make a lovely wreath for her door sometime very soon. I'll post a
picture to let you know how it comes out.

Bittersweet is one of my favorite things to decorate with during the season
And while I am blessed to have an ever increasing vine along my fence. My
dear cousin has an abundance of it

Blessings, GG

Those are beautiful. I don't have that growing in my area but I have plenty of the Yaupon Holly with the beautiful red berries. I love using them to decorate with.

I'm not yet sure what talent God granted me ~ but I know it isn't creativity with crafts! Heehee!

I can just imagine how lovely your cousin's wreath is going to turn out, GG. I'll anxiously be awaiting photos.

Hugs, love and prayers, Dear One.

Ladies,
Isn't God's love of beauty magnificiently displayed in His creation.

I decorate every year with bittersweet. I like a rustic type of country decor, my cousin likes a bit more ......refined I guess would be the word. lol.

I will definately share the results.

Blessings, GG

Grammy those are soooo delicately beautiful!! I can't wait to see the wreath when it's finished.
Hmmm.... Now I want to go see if I can find any bittersweet in our neighborhood.

Gorgeous Grammy, is it native to New England? I wonder if I have it and don't even know it :)

Your cousin is so blessed to have you in her life, as we all are :)

Hugs grammy.

This will be my first "bittersweet" wreath. It is a very delicate plant. And is much sought after by crafters and florist. I usually just gather the branches in two old beautiful Milk Jugs I have. This is my first attempt at a wreath! Wish me success ladies!
Hugs, GG
