Friday Prophecy Post -War and Rumors of War

Wars and rumors of wars

M't:24:6: And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. M't:24:7: For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

This past century has been the most violent and bloody century in human history .
Wars and armed conflicts, crimes against humanity, Genocides and alleged genocides, extermination camps, Famines, Human Sacrifice and ritual suicide, Earthquake, Tsunami’s, Pestilences, Aids, Swine-flu, Bird-Flu, Influenza……..

I was going to list the total loss of life for each of these above events for the past 100 years and was overwhelmed with the totals.

How can we not be aware that God’s word is specific and 100% accurate.

Surely we are living in the day, the answer to the question the disciples asked Jesus

“Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?”

What a world we are living in , Thank God we have a living hope……….in Christ Jesus our Lord.
We focus on a tragedy , until, a news organization decides the tragedy is over. Not news-worthy…….

A quarter-million people swept into the ocean,
An earthquake in a divers place. Undersea, Mega thrust Earthquake.

The poorest of the poor, shaken in a place already broken and captive to corruption by those with evil heart and intentions. Buried by rubble and bull-dozers……

“The optimists among us who believe in the inevitable progress of man, either forget or ignore the fact that the twentieth century was the bloodiest, most destructive century in human history. The century's two world wars resulted in the deaths of at least 60 million people. The Russian Civil War of 1917-21 killed another 5-6 million. Between them, the tyrannical regimes of Hitler, Stalin, and Mao killed at least another 60 million of their own citizens. Many millions more were killed in dozens of other, smaller conflicts.
The British historian Paul Johnson, in his remarkable book Modern Times, attributed the twentieth century's huge death toll to the immense growth of organized state power, the decline of traditional religion, and the rise of totalitarian ideologies and gangster-statesmen. In a new book on twentieth century conflicts, another prolific British historian, Niall Ferguson, points to three other causes: “ethnic conflict, economic volatility, and empires in decline.” ~ ~ The Bloodiest CenturyReview by Francis P. Sempa “

M't:24:22: And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

Ella it is staggering to see the events unfolding around us. Only a fool could watch the nightly news and say otherwise. God spelled it out so plainly for us, "if we have eyes to see and ears to hear."
Many who understand what the signs mean and how it relates to Jewish history (because God repeats all that HE does)say we are close. When I think how they explain God does things in cycles, Ecclesiastes comes to mind.....nothing new under the Sun. God never changes. If we would only study His Word we would better understand the season we are in. I have so enjoyed your weekly study on prophecy. Blessings.

These are indeed the worst of times and these are the best of times.
May our lamps be filled and may our vessels be filled with oil.

Thanks Rose ~~
There seems to be a rise in preterism among the body of Christ. But this really to me is another "sign-post" .

And you got is exactly right Rose, Isreal is God's timepiece. The prophectic clock to understanding the days we are in ...

Praise the Lord . One of my favorite preachers say's this it is like Dicken's Classic " A Tale of Two Cities"..... It will be the best of times and the worse of times.

I believe it will be a time for the church to shine! WE will only be able to do that if we are full of the spirit of God like you indicated.

Da:11:32: And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.

Thanks for stopping by brother. It can be over-whelming when you look at the magnitude of the loss of life in just this past 100 years , it is astonishing. A sobering sign-post along the way to the Lord's return.
Have a blessed Weekend!
