From my living room window.....

Having my morning coffee back at camp after 10 days in the city. Shortly after my last post here. Our second or third day back at camp we woke to find our oldest dog Mercy with a small thumb-sized cyst on her female parts.

As Jonathan and I were finishing our coffee this "thing" had grown to the size of a golf-ball. We prayed over Mercy and I called the Vet in the city almost an hour away. They wanted to see her right awway and gave us an appointment that if we left immediately we would just be getting there.

Jonathan dropped me at the house in the city and took Mercy up the street to the vet. He came home an hour later with medications, a head cone , a huge bill and the prognosis of a tumor. They could operate, but they were not sure if that would "cure" her or not.

I was heart-broken. We stayed in the city for 10 days. John and I prayed over Mercy, the grand-children prayed. We loved on her and gave her her medicine, believing that this ugly tumor would go away. But it didn't. It kept getting bigger and more ugly and nasty.

Yesterday when John came back from a repair, we made the decision to come back to camp. The dogs love it here as much as we do. Mercy layed her head on my lap the whole ride back. I looked at my "old" girl. The gray whiskers on her face and thought how we had grown old with her.

My heart was heavy as Jonathan and I talked last night about putting her down. I could not sleep, I stayed up asking God to do what only He could,.... Well after midnight , I went to bed . Mercy and Cleo laying on my side of the bed on the floor. It began to rain ......a heavy rain.....a soothing and comforting sound on the roof . God's peace and presence came flooding in and I drifted off to sweet sleep.

Jonathan got up before me this morning and started the coffee. The dogs got up with me a little while later as the light was just breaking on camp. I poured my coffee and looked out the living room window. Listening to chirping birds and the steady humming of the fridge.

I took a sip or two and went to sit down on the sofa, I glanced at Mercy and could not believe my eyes. The tumor is GONE. Completely and totally GONE. I yelled to John outside to come in and check Mercy . We looked at each other in totally dumbfound ......and then I began to recognize......Jesus had touched Mercy girl.....Just as quick as that ugly , nasty tumor came it was gone in the Name of Jesus.....

I am praising the Lord Jesus this morning and testifying to His healing power. He healed my Mercy-girl ......I am totally convinced. God is Faithful. We can trust Him with everything.

In His Love & Service, Ella

Hi Barb,
Mercy girl is a precious pet. I have had her since she was 6 weeks old. My sweet hubby gave her to me on New Years Eve 1999. She has never missed a Friday night bible study at our home in all these years. She has such loving instincts and is a blessing to our family. I am so very thankful to the Lord for healing Mercy. I know the day will come when her breath returns to the Lord. I aqm just ever so thankful it is not now.

Hugs, Ella
