I was so choked up today at my Grand-girls Memorial Day program at school.
They sang such beautiful patriotic songs Proud to be an American, God Bless America and also sang, Amazing Grace, We shall over-come, When the saints go marching in.
I looked at each of their beautiful little faces and thought how much God loves each of them.
I just sat in the front rowm praying for my grands and for each child there that Jesus would bless and protect them, that they would all come to know HIM as their Lord and Savior.

Beautiful post sweet Ella. My dad was a career Air Force Major and he was stationed in Vietnam when I was little. I am glad that you remember these men and women. So many people don't appreciate them and what they do for us.

All my uncles on my Mothers side 4of them were career military. Many of their sons, my cousins, are career military.
I am so very aware of the sacrafices these brave soldiers make daily. I have one nephew in Afganistan this Memorial Day weekend.
I appreciate your Dad's sacrafice and offer a heartfelt thank you to your Dad , your Vet for his service to keep us free.
